11 Monthly Spread Ideas

Vertical Monthly Spread by @maryj13

I really love this Monthly spread. It’s clear, simple and gives a great overview of the month. It gives space for three different appointments on a single day, categorized in college and private tasks. There is space for notes on the right side of the monthly spread and the small calendar makes that it’s easy to find out what day it is today. It’s a great monthly spread to try out!

December Monthly by @my.life.in.a.bullet

How obvious is it that December's my favorite month? 😉 Hey guys, I'm back! Took a little break from everything else to focus on my Thesis, but now I'm back and ready to post again. 😄 I am So excited for this month and I wish there was a way to slow down the time and enjoy it for longer… Especially because I'm going home for Christmas and I get to spend time with my family. What are you guys' plans for the holidays? 🎄 ➖ SUPPLIES ▪ Notebook: @williamhannahuk ▪ Colors: Faber-Castell Color Grip Pencils ▪ Fineliners: Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen in the size S ➖ ➖ #bulletjournal #bujo #bujojunkies #bulletjournaling #bulletjournaljunkies #bujocommunity #bulletjournalcommunity #bulletjournallove #bujolove #bulletjournalsystem #bohoberrytribe #notebook #planner #planneraddict #plannercommunity #planning #organisation #planwithme #discbound #studyblr #productivity #stationery #studymotivation #studyspo #studygram #holidays #monthlyspread

This ‘blocky’ monthly spread by Christina gives a clear overview of the month. The spread looks great and has some space for every day in the month. Her amazing doodles are a great addition to this already beautiful spread. There is some space for monthly tasks. Personally, I think the blocks are a little small to write tasks in, but it may be just enough for you! She uses the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen for the black lines and for the colors she uses Faber-Castell Color Grip Pencils.

Circular Monthly by @fischrjournals

Although this spread takes some time to set up, I really love it! There is a lot of space left to write tasks and notes, which is really great. It’s a fun and beautiful layout to try out and it gives you also a clear starting page for the month!

Horizontal Monthly Log by @boho.berry

Which Bullet Journalist doesn’t know Kara from @boho.berry? Her spreads are easy and simple to understand. She stays fairly close to the original Monthly Spread, once thought out by Ryder. She has a lists with all the days of that month, with room for tasks beside that day. On the right page she has some additional space to write down other tasks that last multiple days. It’s an easy setup to start with and you should really check it out!

Monthly Doodling by @mimitsudoodles

My December monthly 😊💕💙⛄🎄🎀 . . . . . . #bulletjournal #planner #bujo #planwithmechallenge

A post shared by Hi! I'm Miya (@mimitsudoodles) on

The doodles of Miya are just beautiful. The spread at itself is simple and clear, but boy, look at those doodles! I just love them! I don’t have anything more to say about this spread: it speaks for itself!

This monthly spread is fairly easy. She has some room for a quote on the bottom of the page and on the right page there is plenty of space to write down some notes, goals or tasks. But I just can’t stop looking at those doodles! They are made from little crosses that make beautiful flowers when put together. This can’t be missed in this list of 11 great Monthly spread ideas!

Cookie Monster Eating the December Cookie by @jtraftonart

You can make a circular December layout, or you just make a big cookie eaten by cookiemonster! I really love how original this idea is! But god, so much cookies can’t be good for you…. I’ll grab a cookie!

Cold Calendar Layout by @planyourplanner

This layout is inspired by a traditional calendar and is very clear! Plan your Planner uses Sakura Micron Pens to make this spread. The boxes are big enough to write down some tasks in it and the snowy theme is awesome. I really love this layout for it’s simplicity!

Simple Layout with Beautiful Drawings by @bonjournal_

#december.. back to the original #monthlyspread

A post shared by liz (@bonjournal_) on

She already said it herself: her layout is the original Bullet Journal Monthly Layout. It’s easy and simple to understand, but with a little twist. She has added a beautiful flower as an introduction of December. I added this to the list, because it is an clear example of how simple a Bullet Journal can be and how you can make it beautiful, and this all in one picture! It’s just great!

Calendar overview by @rozmakesplans

Another calendar layout, but this one is a little bit more compact then the other ones in this list of monthly spread ideas. The space you save can be used to write down more notes on the side like Roz has done in her Bullet Journal. I love this layout, because it’s so clear and provides a lot of space to fill in extra tasks that may not fit in the calendar layout.

Dot Calendar by @creative.pine.apple

December Dot Calendar 😜🌲❄️🎁

A post shared by Camilla / Creative Pineapple 🍍 (@creative.pine.apple) on

This layout is a little bit different then other layouts. In every box there is room for four dots. Every dot stand for a recurring event like work, college, sleep or birthdays. The colored dots give a quick overview of the tasks that day. Because you still have some room left for other tasks, the overview stays clear and simple. It takes a while to get used to this spread, but once you get it, it’s great!
